Suzanne Thompson began her artistic life as a weaver while attending Berea College.  There she joined the heated discussion, “is-it-art-or-is-it-craft?” firmly (because she was young) on the side of creative intent defining art. She pursued her MFA from Florida State University (after choosing the school for the weather) because she wanted to educate.  She continues that need to share with others in her current work.
